Adult Literacy
At The EDGE Center, we recognize that adult literacy is an issue for many Americans.
Whether you are a struggling reader, a business owner, a manager, a fellow employee, or a customer, an employee who struggles to read can make the business experience negative.
Not all adults have literacy issues for the same reasons:
- some may still be learning English as another language;
- some may have had negative school experiences that "permanently" hindered the reading experience;
- some may have been "literate enough" to get through school, but now struggle where it matters most.
In an effort to promote adult literacy, The EDGE Center has created this Web space devoted to adult literacy topics. The links below lead to discussion boards, book reviews, and resources for both tutors and learners.
